ATAS® (Adaptive Thermal Analysis System) is an innovative system for process-control of grey and ductile iron. ATAS® is a knowledge-based computer system for optimization, quality assurance and correction of the melting and treatment processes for cast iron alloys. An expert system is used to interpret the information obtained from the cooling curves.
The system consists of a PC connected to an A/D converter and a stand for test cups. The expert system gives the user access to specialized metallurgical advice.
ATAS® opens a new "window" into the process and provides new knowledge about essential parameters.
